Paynes Heating will take over responsibility for heating and gas services to about 2,500 of our homes in Lewisham from T Brown from 1 June 2021.
It will be responsible for carrying out boiler installations and annual boiler services, as well as heating and hot water repairs.
“Paynes is already delivering excellent services to our customers living in homes in Bromley, Croydon and in Kent inside the M25,” explained Stuart MacLean, Domestic Gas Contract Manager.
“Along with making sure everyone has hot water and heating, keeping customers safe in their homes is our priority. It’s important for us to work with contractors who we have a great working relationship with, who we can trust to do an excellent job, and who will deliver value for money - Paynes ticks all those boxes.
“And it’s also investing in improved digital services for customers, which aligns with our own plans to transform our services over the next few years, as we continue to invest in new technologies.”
Stuart added: “Safety never stops, even during a pandemic, and Paynes has gone the extra mile during the lockdowns to keep customers safe; it has maintained 100% compliance on gas checks nearly every month over the last year.
“It’s really important that customers’ boilers are serviced regularly. While homeowners are responsible for arranging these, as a landlord, we’re legally required to carry out annual checks in our rented properties. It sometimes takes time to arrange appointments and it’s equally important that we stick to them.
Paynes' team has already been making appointments with Lewisham customers to carry out annual gas boiler inspections in June and July, so it can hit the ground running on 1 June. We’ll be updating our phone system to ensure Lewisham customers get through to Paynes when reporting a heating, gas or hot water repair.
