Hyde Property Services has installed new kitchens and bathrooms in supported accommodation for young people in Hove.
Lansworth House is run by the YMCA Downslink Group as a hostel for 16-25 year olds. We replaced 15 kitchenettes, plus eight showers and bathrooms, in the historic building, as part of the Hyde Quality Standard modernisation programme being rolled out across our homes.
“This is an historic building – it was once a school attended by Winston Churchill – and the hostel had to remain open throughout the 12 week contract, which presented some logistical challenges,” explained Hyde Project Surveyor Jaime Allen. “However, we worked closely with YMCA and residents to ensure work was completed with minimal disruption.”
Rye Keary, YMCA Downslink Group, Project Team Leader, added: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the team that installed our new kitchens and bathrooms. The team was understanding of our very complex clients and always positive. Our residents are very happy with their new facilities.”
