Film highlights building safety work

Posted on 23 June 2020

Watch our latest building safety film, showcasing the work of Hyde’s Building Safety Taskforce – established as part of our response to improving the safety of our homes following the Grenfell tragedy. The film demonstrates how Hyde really is leading the way when it comes to building and resident safety.

The film takes you from our Bolanachi building in Bermondsey to the recladding of our five tall towers, where we have 433 homes, in Gosport, where the work finished earlier this year.

Neal Ackcral, Chief Property Officer said: “The film highlights the important work that we have done, and how we are doing everything we can to keep our residents and buildings safe. See for yourself how fantastic our Gosport towers now look, and just how much it means to residents to feel safe in their homes.”

The film also explains the next steps we’ll be taking in terms of building safety, including how we will be establishing a safety case for all our tall buildings – confirming exactly why each building is safe.

The impact of the work we’ve completed in Gosport is summed up in the film by one of our residents, Sally, who said: “We know that we are 110% safe…We can’t say ‘thank you’ enough to Hyde for what they have done as a landlord.”
