Time to check your heating

Amanda Wright from Hyde Property Services, says: “Residents should make sure they turn on their boilers and test their radiators before the cold weather sets in. This will give you time to have your appliances checked if there are any problems.

"Checking your heating system will give you peace of mind over the winter; keeping your home warm and comfortable. Regular servicing will ensure your heating is energy-efficient, so your bills are kept as low as possible. If there is a problem, tenants should call Customer Services on 0800 3 282 282 and select the ‘gas and heating repair' option to be put through to their heating contractor.”

Hyde’s gas and heating contractors are: Hyde Property Services, covering Kent, Hampshire, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex; the Mears Group, covering Peterborough and Hyde Minster; and T Brown, covering London boroughs.

Residents with gas heating systems should make sure they have had an annual service check and install a carbon monoxide alarm (which can be supplied and fitted free of charge by Hyde). Find out more at our Gas safety page.
