Residents of 273 homes in Bromley and 10 in Bexley were warmly welcomed to The Hyde Group this week.
Following a bidding process which saw several social housing providers submit proposals, the Hyde Group was chosen by Town & Country Housing Group to take on ownership of the homes, which include affordable rent, shared ownership and supported housing properties.
The move is part of the Hyde Group’s objective to consolidate in key areas where it already has a significant presence, and as a result improve the local service delivered to residents, as well as increasing efficiencies.
Simon Vevers, Regeneration and Strategic Partnerships Director, said: “This is a logical move for the Hyde Group and Town & Country; by increasing the number of homes we own and manage in areas where we are already based, we hope to realise efficiencies which can be reinvested in services and homes for our residents.”
Colin Lissenden, Development Director Town & Country Housing, said: “Not only does Hyde have the infrastructure but they also have the same values and excellent services which made it the right choice.”
