Running to fund Southwark night time university

Posted on 23 February 2018

More than 50 Hyde colleagues will be pounding the streets of London in the Vitality Big Half marathon on 4 March alongside Sir Mo Farah, Callum Hawkins and residents from the Bermondsey Spa estate in Southwark.

In partnership with the Salmon Youth Centre we're aiming to raise £15,000 to fund an innovative night time university this summer aimed at local young people.

This fantastic initiative will deliver educational, creative and sporting activities when young people most need them - between 6-10pm each evening.

Following last year’s successful model at the Jason Roberts Foundation, this is a great way of engaging young people and will open up progression routes to wider employment, education and training opportunities.
