The Hyde Foundation is working in partnership with the Big Kid Foundation to deliver an inspiring youth mentoring programme for young Lambeth residents.
The programme launched this week with 10 Hyde staff from across the business participating in an interactive training session. Over the next 12 months, staff will mentor a 16-21 year old resident and support them to learn new skills, build confidence and achieve their goals. Participating in the programme is a great opportunity for staff to make a real difference to the lives of young residents whilst extending their own coaching and mentoring skills.
In the next couple of weeks staff will be attending the Ovalhouse Theatre to be matched with their mentees at a ‘speed networking’ session.
Chief Executive Elaine Bailey is one of the mentors and said: “It’s fantastic that our staff are getting involved and giving something back to the community and young Hyde residents. Taking part in the training was great; our staff are all up for it and we’re looking forward to the speed networking event".
