Hyde Foundation donates £1,000 to primary school

Posted on 15 December 2017

Our staff visited Shoreham Beach Primary School, West Sussex on Friday 8 December to donate £1,000. The donation from Hyde Foundation is to fund new sports equipment and help towards creating an exciting new playground for the children at the upper school.

The school, which is hoping to raise £25,000 towards this project, took the time to show us and Councillor Joss Loader the plans for the new playground before the cheque was presented in the school assembly.

Miss Bob Woodman, head teacher of Shoreham Beach Primary School said: “We are a Community School; we try to contribute to our community and are extremely grateful when our efforts are recognised and rewarded. Thank you Hyde!”

Sarah Willis from the Hyde Foundation presented the cheque. Sarah commented: “We are committed to our communities and with our new homes currently under construction just across the river, and our proposed redevelopment around the corner, this is just one example of Hyde contributing to the local community. We hope that the new equipment and playground will be enjoyed by children at the school for many years to come.”
