How we’re keeping young people active this summer

Posted on 07 August 2020

The coronavirus pandemic isn’t stopping the summer fun in our communities. Hyde’s Successful Places team has been working hard with local delivery partners to ensure we can provide a range of activities to prevent boredom setting in over the holiday period.

We have a wide variety of programmes running, with something for everyone. So if you are looking to improve your sporting prowess, expand your knowledge and future prospects, spend time being creative, or simply want to hang out with other young people in your area, check out our What’s on guide for young people to find out what’s available.

We know through our work in local communities that our customers are experiencing increased isolation, mental health problems, food poverty and a general lack of access to targeted services and education. That’s why programmes like these are essential.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please make sure you register before turning up. Our delivery partners will need to know you’re joining them - spaces will be limited so the government’s social distancing guidelines can be followed.
