Hyde community centres review

Posted on 09 November 2016

We are currently conducting a review of our community centres.

This review is looking at building conditions, competition, value for money, resident and non-resident usage, income potential, operational costs and local needs both in the present and in the future.

The community centres under review are as follows:

  • The Hub at Stonebridge
  • The Pavilion Hillside
  • The Arc, Packington
  • The Ringcross Centre
  • Kennington Park
  • The Stockwell Centre

We started the review earlier this year and we will consult with local residents and users of the community centres about our findings later this month.

Over the next two weeks we will make sure that our local communities and users of the community centres are aware of this review and the forthcoming consultation.

What happens next?

On Wednesday 23 November 2016 we will announce the findings of our review and our suggested recommendations for the future of the above community centres.  We will also start a four week consultation period for people to give us their feedback on the recommendations.

Details of the recommendations and how to take part in the consultation will be available on the website shortly.

If you are a Hyde resident or one of the groups or organisations that regularly use one of the centres then you will also receive a letter from us telling you what the recommendation is for your local community centre is and how to take part in the consultation.
