We are proud to announce that we are finalists in the Tpas Awards, in the in the Excellence in Employment, Skills and Training category – for our Future Leaders programme.

Our Future Leaders Programme (FLP) is a free, eight-week, 20-hour programme of group training that offers career and personal development opportunities for our customers.

Through training, guidance, group work and individual targets, customers are helped with their careers and personal development. The programme builds skills and knowledge in:

  • confidence and motivation
  • skills profiling and job goals
  • influencing
  • teamwork and leadership
  • social housing and customer involvement.

Our Futures Leaders Programme also provides pathways for our customers to become resident leaders within our customer involvement, scrutiny and governance activities. Customer graduates have gone on to join strategic committees, deliver resident-led inspections, meet with our Group Housing Services Board and contributed towards the development of our organisation-wide strategies.

Robert Cooper, Customer Involvement Manager, said: “This is a fantastic achievement – very well deserved recognition for our hard work and innovation. I’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone involved, particularly to our exceptional career transition specialist and empowerment coach, Dionne Lewis-Reid.

“Both Hyde and our wider resident community benefit from confident, skilled and diverse resident volunteers working in collaboration with us to scrutinise and improve services. This helps us to become a truly customer-driven organisation.”

We’re also now launching a new sister programme.
