Six talented and dynamic Hyde residents have graduated our first ever ‘Future Leaders Programme’ facilitated by empowerment coach Dionne Lewis-Reid in partnership with our resident engagement team.
The aim of the course is to provide residents with new skills and confidence to take forward in their personal lives, but also to empower them to become more involved with Hyde to help positively influence our service delivery.
Robert Cooper, Resident Engagement Manager said “Our first group of future leaders have been nothing short of inspirational and it has been a privilege to work with them. Some may have had difficult circumstances to overcome, but the group was full of positive attitude and we are confident that with their desire to make a difference, they will go far in life. We’re so pleased that they are keen to continue working with us, to influence and shape our services for the benefit of all residents through our resident engagement activities.”
We’re looking to run our second Future Leaders Programme in the new year. The eight-week course – which take place in the evening in London - will cover themes such as confidence, influencing skills, teamwork and leadership, as well as an introduction to social housing and resident engagement.
