The WhatHouse? Awards is the country’s largest event celebrating the very best new homes. More than 1,600 people attended the ceremony which recognised winners in a wide range of categories.
The judges of the Best Housing Association of the year category were looking at all aspects of performance, including design and build, value for money, management and marketing. They also wanted to see innovative solutions to assist buyers on to the home ownership ladder or into rented accommodation and for housing associations to demonstrate how they spread the affordable and social housing options as flexibly as possible.
The judges were impressed with our commitment in developing new business opportunities and how we maximise our surpluses to reinvest into more homes. In their report the judges said: “In 2017/18 they completed 1,285 new homes and increased operating surplus by £5m to £161m. On the property management side, Hyde has restructured its workforce to deliver services in a more efficient and tenant-friendly way.”
David Gannicott, Group Business Development Director at the Hyde Group said: “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised by these prestigious awards. Hyde works hard in collaboration with our colleagues, local authorities, developer partners, and other key stakeholders to provide a great home for everyone and we are really proud of that."
