We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for three categories in the 2017 Housing Heroes awards!
Shining a spotlight on the best teams and individuals that make housing so great, the Housing Heroes awards reward the outstanding contribution of teams within the housing industry and acknowledge the hard work of the ‘unsung heroes’.
This year Hyde features in the categories of “Frontline Team of the year”, “Central Service Team of the year” and “Support and Care Team of the year”.
Our specialist Empty Homes and Lettings team has been recognised for its unique approach to ensuring that our properties are not empty for long. Achieving fantastic financial savings, minimising income loss where properties stand empty and ensuring that each property meets our exacting standards for quality, safe, secure, clean homes are just a few of the teams successes in the last year alone.
Hyde Foundation has been shortlisted for Support and Care team of the year. Helping some of the most vulnerable people in society is a crucial part of the work of housing organisations, and the Hyde Foundation has been recognised for the work of its Successful Tenancies team. Comprising specialist advisors in money and debt, employment, and tenancy sustainment, members of the team work together to help our residents improve their chances of remaining in their homes for the long-term.
Finally our fantastic in house Legal Services team has been shortlisted for Central Service team of the year. Delivering innovative and engaging training sessions for staff, maintaining excellent working relationships with our front line teams and helping us get speedy legal remedies are just a few of the reasons the team has been shortlisted.
Chyrel Brown, Interim Director of Housing said “I am very proud that all of these teams have been shortlisted and it is a testament to their passion and their hard work. They have a diverse range of skills but all come together beautifully to work towards the same aim– of providing people with a roof over their head so they can make a home.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on the evening of Monday 26 June at Housing 2017 as part of the opening ceremony at Manchester Central.
