Teynham to get 130 new affordable homes

Posted on 30 August 2019

We have begun construction of 130 affordable homes at Station Road, Teynham, in Kent, with all of the one, two, three and four bedroom flats and houses available for social rent (40%) or shared ownership (60%).

The scheme is being built with our development partner Crest Nicholson and is being supported by grant funding from Homes England

Hyde Land and Planning Director (South & East) Mike Finch said: “It’s fantastic that all of the new homes will be affordable and meet a range of housing needs that will allow local people to stay in the area.”

Chris Loughead, Development Executive at Crest Nicholson, added: “It’s great to partner with Hyde again on this important project for Teynham, which is in line with Crest Nicholson’s group strategy and our aspiration of accelerating new home delivery. We are looking forward to delivering the first of these high quality, affordable, homes by early autumn this year and hope to complete the scheme by October 2021.”
