We're delighted to be playing our part in delivering more than 650 much-needed homes in a Cambridgeshire village.
A joint venture named Littleport Developments has been formed by Evera Homes (a partnership between Hyde, Longhurst Group, Cross Key Homes and Flagship Group) and Vistry, a provider of market and affordable housing.
The 680 homes are to be built on a 70-acre field at Grange Lane in Littleport and will be a mixture of flats, bungalows and two, three and four-bedroom homes.
A new community centre with a sprung floor for indoor sports is also planned.
Launched in 2018, Evera is an innovative partnership committed to tackling the housing shortage across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough combined authority area by delivering more homes, at greater pace.
Guy Slocombe, Chief Investment Officer at Hyde said: “Securing this land at Littleport with Vistry is a great step forward for Evera as it allows us to deliver even more homes for people who need them. The fantastic partnership with have with Flagship, Longhurst and Cross Key Homes as Evera, as well as our collective partner Vistry demonstrates just what can be achieved when we work together. I look forward to the building work starting on site and creating yet another successful community at Littleport.”
Contracts were exchanged with the landowners in January 2021 and completion is due in February 2021. Construction is due to start by the end of 2021 with the first homes available in late 2022.
The site has an outline planning permission and, subject to the receipt of a reserved matters consent.
It’s planned that around 40 percent of the total number of homes built across the development will be affordable.
