London to Paris charity bike ride raised more than £52,000 for the Hyde Charitable Trust

Posted on 30 May 2016

Fourteen cyclists took part in the ride, organised by the Hyde Group Development team and sponsored by some of Hyde’s framework contractors and consultants.

Riders from Hyde, main sponsor Chartway Group, Philip Pank Partnership, Martin Arnold, Rydon, Bugler Group, Buxton Building and Hill set off from Greenwich Park in London on 20 May. After reaching Dover, they caught a ferry across the English Channel, continuing their epic three day, 435km journey through stunning French countryside to the finish at the Eiffel Tower.

Mike Johnson, Hyde Development Director (London and Kent), said: “This was a great team effort but it would have not been possible without the determination of George Rudman, Programme Analyst in the London Development team, who organised the ride from scratch. George approached some of our partners, including house builders, architects and solicitors, to secure funding and significant donations to the cause. Special thanks go to Chartway Group for donating £15,000, along with all our sponsors who helped us to raise over £52,000.”
