Many residents will have received a section 20 notice letter in January regarding Hyde’s proposal to enter into framework agreements for fire safety works and services.
Each framework will include a group of pre-approved contractors that Hyde can select from when fire safety works or services are required to any of its buildings.
The costs listed on the notices relate to are total tender costs, not those which will be directly applicable to any block or estate.
Although any resident contacted would be covered by the framework, this does not necessarily mean that works are imminent at their block or that all elements listed would require work throughout the duration. Hyde will continue to be recharged at block level based on incurred costs.
What do I have to do?
You have 30 days to respond with any observations about these proposals in writing, via one of the methods outlined below:
- Online: Tell us what you think of our proposals form
- Write to: The home ownership team, The Hyde Group, Hollingsworth House, 181 Lewisham High Street, London, SE13 6AA
- Email: LME@hyde-housing.co.uk
Unfortunately observations must be made in writing and cannot be made over the phone or in person.
What happens next?
We will consider your observations and aim to take account of any comments or concerns as best we can.
Following the consultation, we will continue with the process of selecting contractors to join our frameworks. The results of these frameworks will be made available to our residents through publications and on Hyde’s website.
Where can I find out more?
Your letter will have all the information you need or you can take a look at our Fire safety FAQs.
