Latest update - 23 May 2022

In collaboration with our fire engineers, we’ve now reviewed the PAS9980 guidance, taking into consideration the RICS guidance and the Fire Safety Act. Inspections will be required to satisfy the PAS9980 guidance and to produce an EWS1 certificate as every material, of every elevation of the external wall, must be reviewed to properly assess the risk.

For Harbour Tower, the EWS survey started the week commencing Monday 2 May 2022. Our contractor is on-site to set up a site office and storage. The contractor will be using a ‘cherry-picker’ to open up sections of the external wall for the fire engineers to review the following Thursday and Friday.

Following these surveys, the fire engineers will confirm how many surveys will be needed at Garland Court, Seaward Tower, Hammond Court and Blake Court.

Following the investigations at Harbour Tower, the results will be collated in a report and reviewed by the fire engineer. We expect to be able to issue residents at Harbour Tower with an EWS1 certificate 10 – 12 weeks after investigations take place.

Project: What we are doing

We replaced the external cladding and insulation at Harbour Tower, Seaward Tower, Blake Court, Hammond Court and Garland Court. We also redecorated parking and entrance areas.
