Hyde shortlisted for two UK Housing Awards

Posted on 15 February 2019

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for two UK Housing Awards.

We have been named as a finalist in the Homebuilder of the Year category (1000+ programme). Looking for entries which demonstrate cost effective, quality homes as well as those who have engaged with local communities and maintained good stakeholder relationships, the judges felt that our approach and achievements over the last year demonstrated our commitment to building not only new homes, but new communities. Our commitment to working with the Government, local authorities, developers, other housing associations and residents to help ease the housing shortage shone through.

We were also recognised in the Neighbourhood Transformation category for our ground-breaking regeneration project at Packington in Islington. This award celebrates our approach to transforming the area and the lives of people living in it. This is not just about building quality new homes for the local residents, but involving them throughout the construction process and beyond.

David Gannicott, Group Director of Business Development said: “I am delighted that we have been recognised in these prestigious awards. We are committed to building more homes that London and the south east so desperately need and work closely with our partners to achieve this. At Packington our work here goes beyond building new homes and I am thrilled that the teams have been recognised – both for their expertise in creating new developments and also living our social purpose by transforming neighbourhoods.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 1 May 2019 at the Grosvenor Hotel.
