Chair of the Hyde Group
25 July 2018
We are sad to hear of the sudden death of Mark Sebba, who has been Chair of our board since 2014.
He was a passionate advocate for Hyde, contributing regularly to sector debate. Our CEO Elaine Bailey shared, ‘Mark was a kind, caring person who brought his experience and thoughtful insight to play a key role in transforming Hyde over the past three and a half years’.
Mark will be much missed by his colleagues. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
Mark is a Trustee of the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) and Chair of the V&A Enterprises Board.
From 2003 to 2014 he was Chief Executive of The Net-A-Porter Group, which has operations in Europe, the US and Asia, and resigned from the Board in 2015.
He is a non-executive director of GP Bullhound Ltd, a boutique investment bank specialising in the tech industry and is actively involved with several early stage companies.
Between 2010 and 2013 he was an independent non-executive Director of LMS Capital plc and non-executive Chairman of the Adjutant General’s Audit Committee from 2003 to 2008.
He is a chartered accountant and worked as an investment banker in London and New York for some 20 years before moving into early stage media and new technology businesses. Mark has been a Council Member of the JCA Charitable Foundation since 1993.
