Remedial works

We’ve finalised what work needs doing to rectify the issues we’ve found in the external wall systems. These have been reviewed by our fire engineering consultant and Building Control and have helped us develop our specifications for the tender process.

The programme of work will be confirmed after tender process.

What to do in the event of a fire

The evacuation strategy at Wealdstone Court is ‘simultaneous evacuation’. This his means that if you're alerted to a fire, you must evacuate the building immediately.

We are continuously reviewing this and will remove the waking watch and revert back to the original ‘stay put’ policy as soon as it is safe to do so.

EWS1 forms

Some residents have asked about the EWS1 (external wall system) certificate. The process of completing and issuing an EWS1 certificate cannot happen until the planned works are complete.

If you want to find out more about EWS1 forms, please visit our EWS pages, where you can find an overview of the issues surrounding external wall surveys and the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
