TV across the UK is going digital. This is a Government scheme to replace the existing analogue TV signal with a digital TV signal.

Hyde is working to upgrade communal TV system in time for the switchover. Those without a communal TV system will need to ensure they are ready for the switchover.

Switchover is a two stage process - at the first stage BBC 2 will be switched off and at the second stage all remaining analogue services will stop broadcasting permanently. Any TV that is left unconverted will not receive broadcast television at this point. Affected areas will switchover as follows:

• Hyde Martlet – from 8th Feb 2012
• London – from 4th April 2012
• Kent  – from 13th June 2012
