Our work in neighbourhoods is about making the long lasting improvements to local communities that residents tell us they want to see. We do this by involving as many residents and local organisations as we can, and working out joint solutions to problems.
As you would expect, every neighbourhood is different so we design the activities we do in a locally tailored way. Some of things we have worked on are improving play areas, delivering more activities for young people, providing groups and activities for older residents, working with the local police to tackle anti-social behaviour, producing estate newsletters so everyone knows what is going on, arranging for Childrens Centres – and other organisations - to bring their services to an estate and opening or running local community centres.
We work to build strong communities where residents like to live.
