David Eastgate
Group Chief Executive
David has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Kent, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He began his career as a Management Account at the Peabody Trust before spending 10 years in a variety of roles, notably with the Financial Times. He became Hyde’s Group Finance Director in 2000 and was appointed Group Chief Executive in 2005.
John Unsworth
Group Finance Director
John joined Hyde in 2008 after experience in delivering business and performance improvement across both the public and private sectors. Most recently he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Liberata, an American private equity company. He has an Economics degree from Manchester University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Jane Jenkinson
Group Business Development Director
The former head of New Business at Sainsbury’s, Jane has a land management and a Business development degree from Reading University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Before joining Hyde she was the Director of European Development at a major US leisure corporation. She has also led merger and acquisition transactions, as well as implementing corporate strategies whilst working for the Rank Group and Oliver Wyman Management Consultants. For the last six years she has been a non-executive director of Community Housing Association, a subsidiary of One Housing Group.
Alan Schofield
Group Director of Policy & Communications
A former special advisor to Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, Alan has over 15 years senior experience in policy and communications formulation. He was previously a director of the Bell Pottinger Group. He began his career as a journalist working at the BBC as producer of their flagship Sunday political programme “Breakfast with Frost.” He has also written for the Express Group and the Sunday Times.
Bobby Davis
Human Resources Director
Bobby joined Hyde after eight years experience working in the housing sector and prior to this, 10 years military service. She has a fresh approach to serving and supporting the people in the business in terms of Human Resourcing and Learning and Development. Bobby also has experience in leading large multi-faceted teams enabling them to become decisive and versatile deliverers.
Steve White
Chief Operating Officer
Steve joined Hyde in April 2010 and is responsible for the day-to-day management of services to residents. Steve has over 20 years experience in senior management roles spanning large commercial organisations like T-Mobile and NatWest Bank as well as not-for-profit organisations like the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Steve’s primary area of business focus has typically been in the fields of service delivery and delivering organisational change.
